Eat A Balanced Breakfast
Too many people who are trying to eat better seem to skip breakfast because it helps to reduce their overall calorie intake. This is a bad idea. Eating a balanced breakfast not only gives you a ton of energy to start the day (which can help with work or with exercise), but it can also help to prevent you from craving food later on.
Drink More Water
One of the best ways to improve your physical health is to start drinking a lot more water. Ideally, you want to get a point where you really only drink water because that is by far the healthiest drink around. Water has no calories and it doesn’t contain any sugars, fats, or other unhealthy ingredients, so there is no reason not to drink it all the time.
Fix Your Posture
Remember when you were told to sit up straight as a kid? Well, that was for a really good reason. Poor posture not only makes you feel worse mentally, but it can also lead to some physical issues as well. Poor posture is associated with things like severe back pain or muscle pain later on in life. So, do yourself a favor and start sitting up straight now, your body will thank you later.
Avoid Sitting for Long Periods
Look, sometimes you can’t avoid sitting for long periods of time. However, if you find that you are sitting with no physical activity very often, then it is time to make a change. People who constantly sit have lower lifespans and a generally worse quality of life. So, start getting into the habit of taking small little walks to break up longer sitting sessions.
Stop Eating Until You Are Full
If you are like most people, you eat until you are full. This is a bad idea, not only does it encourage overeating, but it also leads to feelings of discomfort and bloating. You should try and get into the habit of eating smaller portions and stopping long before you feel like you are full.
